Group and Private Classes

Birth preparation for both you and your partner is incredibly important, no matter whether it’s your first birth, or you’ve had previous births.

It’s important to ensure that you are informed and supported along the way, that you know your rights, and the choices you have around outcomes. It’s also important that you and your birth partner or your birth team have establised some really good anchors, that you go into the birth feeling calm, confident and trusting in the process. And, that everyone including your care providers, have a clear understanding of your preferences.

If you want a positive experience, no matter how your birth unfolds, it’s essential that you are prepared.

Group Classes

I run group classes once a month in Ballina. These usually run across a weekend, from 9.00am - 4.30pm, both days.

The classes are perfectly designed for you and your birth partner to prepare effectively for a positive birth, but I have a lot of mums who come without their partners too. This is a time to really honour your pregnancy, make sure you're both hearing the same information at the same time and on the same page, and an opportunity to have a bit of fun along the way (plus, meet other expecting couples).

Within the course investment, each couple is provided with:

  • 12 hours of face-to-face class teaching with me
  • A printed folio of resources which is yours to keep, use and practice with
  • Access to an online portal with unique download code to a range of extra online resources including an e-book, mp3 downloads, practice tracks, birth videos and more
  • A goody bag
  • Ongoing extra support from me throughout your pregnancy to help with advice, information or questions
  • 2 x free entries to Ballina Pregnancy Group OR Mother’s Group (depending how many weeks you have left of your pregnancy)

For a more in depth look at what is covered, scroll to the bottom of the page for course outline.

Private Classes

Exactly the same content as the group classes, but from the comfort of your home, (or mine). Usually I come to you, and we have the option of splitting it up into 2 x 6hour session, or 3 x 4hour sessions.

The content is the same, the format is the same, but we can tailor the conversation more specifically to you and your circumstances.

Within the course investment, you will get all of the things listed in 'group classes' above.

Split Group/Private

Perhaps you would like to benefit from the group classes - meeting other couples and sharing in the learning but can only make one of the days.

You can do day 1 OR day 2 in the privacy of your home (or mine) at a time that suits, you and come along to the group session for the other one.

The only catch is you do need to do them in order so day 1 content has to come first.

The content is the same, the format is the same, but we can tailor the conversation more specifically to you and your circumstances during your private session.

Within the course investment, you will get all of the things listed in 'group classes' above.

We loved the course and Fiona! We now feel confident about going into labour and are looking forward to the experience together - we feel like it is now something to embrace and find joy in instead of fear.

Group Hypnobirthing Client 08/21

The class was so informative and I feel so much more confident in using meditation practices, which I have been struggling with for a really long time.

But aside from gaining confidence, I am most grateful for the support it gave us as a team, and the confidence I can see has completely bloomed in [my partner]. The most important part for him is advocating for me and our baby in terms of induction. It feels like we are even more on the same page.
